Brisbane West Branch of the QAGTC invites you to attend an event focused on giftedness in early childhood (8 years and under).  Experienced educators will form a panel to review issues related to young gifted children.

 

Carmel Ellis is Managing Director at the EREA Children’s House, a specialised Montessori Centre where she has ensured that the Centre encompasses an inclusion programme that caters to the needs of gifted students.

Carol Braunack is Director at the Ashgrove Memorial Kindergarten and has expertise in working with young, gifted children.

Gail Young is an experienced early childhood teacher and the Gifted Education Mentor (GEM) at Holland Park State School. Gail advocates for early identification and supports acceleration for young gifted children.

Frances Hoyte has a PhD in Early Childhood with a focus on children’s play, language and friendships and has worked as a gifted education advisor in Education Queensland,

Andrew Oberthur is Principal of Our Lady of the Rosary School, Kenmore.  He regularly speaks about students’ readiness for school and is the author of the book “Are You Ready for Primary School This Year?”
