Why test? What is involved?

Are you curious about the benefits of psychometric assessments for gifted or twice-exceptional students? Do you want to know more about what is involved in these assessments and/or what to consider when looking for a reliable assessor? If so, please join us for a presentation by Lydia Elsworthy, who regular conducts assessments and has a strong understanding of the needs of gifted children.

Our meeting will be held in meeting rooms 1 and 2. Please access via the lift to the library which is located in the covered carpark area between the buildings at the entrance to the shops.

As Director of the Woodside Centre Indooroopilly, Lydia Elsworthy has a strong belief in a holistic approach to psychology which underpins her practice. A significant focus for Lydia is the conducting of psychometric and diagnostic/educational assessments with children, adolescents and adults for both clinical and educational purposes. These assessments provide an in depth overview of functioning and can assist with queries related to issues such as Specific Learning Disorders, attention/concentration/ executive functioning difficulties and giftedness. Lydia has worked closely with the Gifted and Talented community and her evaluations provide particular assistance with how to support the needs of giftedness and twice exceptional children/adolescents.
