QAGTC South Playfest 2024 - Introduction to Robotics with Dr Damien Kee

Due to popular demand, Legendary Robotics Educator Dr Damien Kee returns to QAGTC South in 2024, this time with a Robotics building and programming (non-mobile robots) Introduction for Years 1-5 students.

Students (Year 1-5) will work in pairs to program robots to complete various tasks.

Robots will be provided for the session.

Event will be held at Robertson State School 688 Musgrave Road, Robertson, QLD 4109, Saturday, 03 Feb 2024, 2.00-4.00pm.

Robotics Expert Dr Damien Kee will introduce Robotics building and programming to students (Years 1-5).

 

Students will work in pairs, and Dr Kee will teach students to program robots to complete various tasks.

Through this activity, students can learn about programming thinking, and the potential uses of robotics in our daily lives.

 

This is an activity for students who are beginners in Robotics.

 

There are only 20 places for this event, and it is open to students from Years 1 to 5.

Places are limited, so please register ASAP

About Dr Damien Kee:

Dr Damien Kee is a passionate Educational Technologies advocate, who specialises in bringing technology concepts to teachers and educators around the world. With a focus in Robotics, Programming and Electronics, he works to educate teachers on the benefits and relative ease with which technology can be embedded into their daily classroom activities.

With over 15 years experience, Damien can be found anywhere from sitting on the floor of a classroom, working with young students first learning the intricacies of programming, through to presenting at conferences to some of the most skilled educators in the field.
