Seeking Participants for Research Projects

  • New    School of Education University of New England Armidale NSW 2351 research project titled “Parenting a developmental process?”. The research seeks to explore what it means to be a parent, especially when parenting involves a child who is experiencing atypical development that sits outside that which is expected in the Australian school system. We are interested in hearing the perspectives of parents who have a child who has been identified as intellectually advanced, twice-exceptional, or neurodiverse.

  • Mentoring Programs for Gifted Students - Maryam Alyousef from Curtin University WA has a Mentoring  Programs for Gifted Students Project

     

  • Email Update for Twice Exceptional Sense of Belonging - Griffith University phenomenological study into twice-exceptional school-aged learners experiences of both belonging and non-belonging. The study will involve participants taking part in 3 x 30 minute semi-structured interviews. These will occur at a time and place that suits the child and their parent/carer (e.g. home or a private yet public area).

     

  • Social Support sources and types of educational experiences of Australian gifted highschool Students - A research study with gifted, high school adolescents, Years 7-12 in Australia. The aim of the study is to explore the ways in which different sources and types of social support influence the educational experiences of gifted learners in their high school phase of learning.
