We invite friends of the QAGTC Community to be a part of our South Branch Annual General
Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Wednesday, 3rd December, 5.00-6.00pm at Robertson State School Board Room.

Social-emotional development is a divisive topic in gifted education. Some research finds that gifted students are definitively well-off, with strong social bonds and emotional health. Other research, equally credible, finds that gifted students are struggling. What on Earth is going on? It turns out that the answer is, not surprisingly, quite complex. Gifted children do develop in characteristic ways, but instead of two, there are four major patterns of relational behaviour emerging from the research.

Join us for an informative evening exploring these patterns of development, and what they mean for supporting our gifted kids. This is a great opportunity for parents, guardians, and anyone interested in gifted social-emotional wellbeing to learn about the newest research in the field.

Students (Year 2-6) will work in groups of 3-4 students to complete STEM challenges

All equipment will be provided for the session.
Afternoon tea is also provided for parents and children.
Parental supervision on site is required.

Not all children learn the same way, and sometimes, conventional schools just don’t fit the bill—especially for our gifted kids. If you’re curious about alternative education options, join us for a relaxed and informative evening where we’ll explore different education styles. This is a great opportunity for parents, guardians, and anyone interested in alternative approaches to education, shared from the perspective of a mum with gifted children.

Please join us for an interactive workshop and demonstration on "Harnessing AI for Personalized Gifted Education: Opportunities and Considerations" featuring presenter Yang'en Xu.
Coffee and Tea will be provided.

Due to popular demand, Legendary Robotics Educator Dr Damien Kee returns to QAGTC South in 2024, this time with a Robotics building and programming (non-mobile robots) Introduction for Years 1-5 students.

Students (Year 1-5) will work in pairs to program robots to complete various tasks.

Robots will be provided for the session.
