WELCOME to the North branch section of the QAGTC Inc. website. We would like to extend an invitation to gifted children, their parents, teachers and the wider community to come along to our events.
We are pleased to offer regular Parent Support Groups throughout the year. This is an opportunity for parents and teachers to share their experiences and support one another with issues related to gifted children. Join us for a coffee at the QAGTC Inc. Student workshops challenge our high ability children to develop beyond the general school curriculum. Keep an eye out for technology-based workshops over the coming months.
Our student Book Club is here! Students with reading ages 8-10 or 11-13 are invited to come along on the 3rd Thursday of every school month to SWAP books, purchase a recommended monthly read, and share experiences with others who also have a passion for reading. Thank you to Borders Books, Chermside Shopping Centre, for providing a fantastic venue. Please RSVP to the Book Club event below.
We run various seminars throughout the year for both parents and teachers addressing issues that have been raised at the Parent Support Groups and branch Committee Meetings.
Our Committee Meetings are held at 7.00pm, prior to Parent Support Groups. This is a time where members and the active committee can discuss branch planning and events. We would certainly appreciate your input and support to better our contribution to the gifted community.
