"Fossicking for Gems in Central Queensland"

In life some of us sometimes strike it rich. We happen to stumble across a rare but exciting gem, changing our lives in rich and multi-faceted ways. However for the main it is the experienced fossicker who reaps the rewards, able to spot rare gems regardless of the dirt and mud in which it is buried.

So for those who are inexperienced or who are new to fossicking how do we know a gem from a rock or a sapphire from a zircon and what do we do with it after we find it. In other words how can we find our gems, our gifted children, in rural and remote areas of Queensland and what do we do if we find them?

By digging a little amongst the rubble perhaps we can address:

Who are our gifted children in rural and remote areas of Queensland?
How do we identify them?
What are their educational, social and emotional needs?
How do we cater effectively for them at school, at home and in the community?

Please feel free to join us at our conference as we delve into these questions. Invited speakers include:
