The speaker will also address homeschooling for twice-exceptional students (gifted with disability) and the role of eLearning in homeschooling.

Speaker: Cassandra Creighton. Cassandra has been homeschooling her gifted son for nearly 5 years. She is an active member of the homeschooling community on the Gold Coast. She has a particular interest in the role of eLearning for gifted students and is undertaking postgraduate studies in this area.

There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions.Tea and coffee will be available as well as information on gifted resources and contacts.

Parent/teacher support group meetings are quite relaxed and informal. No minutes are taken and discussions remain confidential. We do insist that details about schools and teachers during discussions remain anonymous. To create an environment in which participants feel confident to discuss aspects of parenting and teaching, we request that support group meetings be 'adults only'.

Please note: Children do not attend parent/teacher support group meetings.

Information on children's workshops running at the same time and place can be found at http://www.qagtc.org.au/gold-coast

Children not enrolled in a workshop during the parent support meeting remain their parents' responsibility. QAGTC has no child-minding facilities and can assume no responsibility for unsupervised children.
