ELECTROMAGNETISM WORKSHOP

Electromagnetism – explore the connection between electricity and magnetism culminating in participants constructing an electric motor. The workshop will be hands on and will develop participants understanding of electricity and magnetism and the relationship between them. (Participants will not be actually accessing live electricity).

Presenter is Sid Hooker. Sid is the program co-ordinator for Science on the Go and also Science Education Alliance at Griffith University. He is an experienced teacher and presenter at interactive science educational workshops all around the coast. He has presented for us on many occasions and his workshops are fun and very educational.

Places are strictly limited for this workshop. Confirmed bookings and pre-payment are essential. Please book and pay as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Bookings can only be made via the QAGTC website http://www.qagtc.org.au/gold-coast
No phone or email bookings. You must be logged in as a QAGTC financial member or at least have a (free) web-account to make a booking. QAGTC financial members enjoy a priority booking period during which non-financial members will be placed on a wait-list. After the priority-period, non-financial members on the wait-list will be notified if places are still available.
Once you have made a reservation, payment details will be emailed to you. When making the payment please include the child’s surname as the reference. If payment is not received by the due date your reservation will be cancelled and may be re-allocated if there is a wait list.

You will be emailed a confirmation of your booking once payment is received. If you do not receive these emails, please check the email address specified on your QAGTC website account. If you have any problems with bookings or the website process please email goldcoast@qagtc.org.au
Bookings must be made in full by Thursday 23rd February, 2017. Unfortunately no late payments can be accepted.

Gold Coast Branch reserves the right to cancel events-if an event is cancelled a full refund will be given, or funds can be transferred to another event. No refunds will be issued if an attendee cancels within 7 days of an event. If the workshop is full your payment will be refunded. You will receive confirmation of your booking before the workshop.
