CRAZY WHIST
General Instructions
WHIST is like 500 except there are no bowers or Jokers (Ace is the highest card) and there is no bidding.
TRUMPS are nominated before the cards are dealt.
WHIST is played with changing partners, and scored independently -- unless otherwise specified.
CRAZY WHIST has a number of variations to this.
  • It can be played with only 4 people, but it is much more enjoyable if at least three tables of four are playing.
  • After each hand the winning pair move clockwise to the next table, and change partners to pair with someone at that table. One of the remaining partners moves to allow this to happen.
  • Each person has a personal scoring sheet. Each scores the total number of tricks won by the partners, in each hand, unless otherwise specified.
  • The rules supplied are just some of those which are possible. Use your imagination and make them up new ones as you go along.
It is advisable to ask the players to remain seated until all players have finished the hand, before moving on.
We have found bright children as young as five are able to play on equal terms with adults; sometimes they have even ended up with the highest score.
