Kathryn Brimblecombe-Fox
Kathryn is an artist and the mother of three gifted daughters. She has been
advocating for her children's needs for the last nine years. Her eldest
daughter was grade skipped from preschool to grade two and her middle daughter
was early entered into grade one. In both cases Kathryn sourced the current
research on accelerative options looking not only at the educational, but also
the social and emotional benefits. Kathryn has spoken about issues confronting
gifted children and their parents at a number of conferences.
Kathryn is a professional
artist who has a B.A majoring in Art History [Uni Qld]. She has curatorial
experience working at the Australian National Gallery in Canberra and
regional galleries in Queensland. Her current major project is working
towards her solo exhibition in September in London.
