Eddie Braggett

Eddie Braggett is Emeritus Professor of Education at Charles Sturt University, NSW. He was a postgraduate student at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and a post-doctoral fellow at Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA. He has held teaching posts in schools, colleges and universities in Australia and the USA. He was a consultant to the Australian Commonwealth Schools Commission on the education of gifted children and has travelled widely in Australasia and South-East Asia while studying provisions for gifted students. Of his numerous publications, nine are books on the education of gifted and talented children, some of which have resulted from research projects funded by ARC and by State Departments / Ministries of Education in Australia. He is a Past-President of the Australian Association for the Education of the Gifted and Talented and has recently advised the New Zealand Ministry of Education on their new policy on the education of gifted students.
