Janet Aaker Smith

Janet's interest, experience and expertise in educating students at all levels is reflected in her broad teaching and consultancy career. She is a celebrated presenter and author who works extensively with parents, teachers and organizations in the areas of brain compatible learning, gifted education, creative and critical thinking, motivation, learning styles, cooperative learning and multiple intelligences.

Apart from her work with individual schools and organizations she is also a presenter in the Bright Sparks and Middle Years of Schooling Programs at Deakin University, is a past Vice President for the Victorian Association of Gifted and Talented Children, Program Coordinator for the Minds Unlimited Program at The University of Melbourne, lectures at The University of Melbourne GDEU and is involved with the teaching of pre-service teachers at Deakin University.
